The original settlers named this area Pleasant Bay. They found quiet bays and good land here on the banks of Lake Washington where they built families, businesses, farms, and even a church (Pleasant Bay Church).

While we are no longer in a quaint bit of country removed from the energy of the city, and the neighborhood has changed names (a couple of times), we still find this area uniquely pleasant. So with that history in mind, we named this congregation Pleasant Bay Church.

We gather together, dropping our anchors and rafting together at Pleasant Bay. We find God's mercy and grace here as we gather around His Truth and worship together. We find both rest and challenge, both peace and urgency… urgency to weigh anchor again as we leave this place with hope to share the grace we have found. We are glad you are here with us today!

Children, of all ages, are welcome to attend our worship service (don't worry, even wiggly, occasionally noisy kids are welcomed). Young children are encouraged to partcipate in special childrens programs.
